One of the best sushi place I ever hadIt’s amazing food and amazing atmosphereEvery dish was special and delicious in its own way. The sushi chef will make the food according to your party’s pace which is amazing. The sushi were so good, fish was so fresh, all come with different flavor and textureAbove all it’s really well priced at 12,000 yen per set. Difficult to find anything that matches the quality within that price range

I made a reservation for the omakase at Sushi Ayatsuki Osaka more than a month in advance, as it was planned to be my first dinner in Osaka. However, not knowing Japanese, I didn't realize that the restaurant had seating options other than the bar counter when I checked on Tabelog. When we arrived promptly at 9 PM, we found that only a private booth in the corner of the restaurant was available. The staff explained that the seating arrangement was based on the order of arrival. It was a bit disappointing for me because I had never tried omakase in this particular style. Fortunately, halfway through the meal, the staff kindly switched us back to a bar counter seat, allowing us to witness the sushi chef's skilled techniques. I suspected this change was due to the previous customers exceeding their dining time. Since dinner was divided into two time slots, it seemed unlikely that customers from the same slot would still be dining when we arrived on time and finished halfway through. However, I must say that the omakase at this restaurant offers excellent value for money. Priced at 12,000 yen per person, the set menu includes a wide variety of dishes, each one beautifully presented. The sushi was fresh, and the option to taste three different types of sea urchin before making a selection was a highlight. However, perhaps because the 9 PM slot was close to closing time, the pace of the sushi portion felt a bit rushed. The staff made an effort to explain each dish in English and provided diagrams to indicate the specific cuts of fish being served. They were attentive in regularly refilling our water glasses, ensuring they were never empty. This aspect of the service was commendable.

I had high hopes for my first omakase experience in Osaka, based on the glowing recommendations and ratings of the restaurant. However, my visit turned out to be a nightmare. The omakase menu, consisting of 12 courses, was presented to me with some items exchanged due to seasonal factors. Unfortunately, the food did not meet my expectations. The sushi, particularly the uni, lacked freshness and had a watery texture with an unpleasant odor. Additionally, the otoro was not as fatty as expected. Overall, the sushi tasted bad, which was a major disappointment. To make matters worse, I experienced severe stomach discomfort and diarrhea shortly after returning to my hotel. The symptoms persisted throughout the night and into the next day, making my entire trip to Osaka uncomfortable and unpleasant.Overall, I cannot recommend this restaurant based on my experience. The food is not worth the price. It fell far short of the expectations set by its reputation, and the lack of attention to food quality and customer experience was evident.

You must book table for this omakase specialist restaurant. You can enjoy top class food by less than 20K yen per person. There’s clean & decent, & chef is experienced & resourceful. They are very well prepared for non-Japanese speaking tourist. Highly recommended for tour visiting

The shop was quite small but the service was very professional. I quite liked the uni bowl however their course changes depending on what fish is the freshest that day. They even prepared fishes that were caught the same afternoon!
