What I liked most about my trip to Osaka was the smoke shop in Namba. I made a reservation over the phone and got in right away. I put my shoes in a plastic bag and enter the store. The smoked cheese tofu has a rich and aromatic flavor that will make you addicted to eating it for a long time. Everything is smoked, including the tomatoes, ginkgo nuts, and alcohol!I gave up trying it because I was too full, but I would like to try smoked sukiyaki next time. A shop that can be used for both first-time and bar-hopping.

I feel really disappointed with the customer service. The female staff member with long hair spoke great English, but her customer service was really poor. She was only nice to people who spoke Japanese...and her colleagues. I wouldn't say it was pure criticism, but it was the worst customer service experience I've had in Osaka. The staff were only talking among themselves and didn't seem to care about the customers (maybe only caring about the Japanese customers). I was so angry with the female staff member's customer service that I decided to ask her to explain her approach. At first, she just said that she didn't do anything wrong. She claimed that everyone who comes to the restaurant has a good experience, but for your reference you can find many comments online also criticizing the poor service. While I was expressing my anger to the female staff member, she just chatting with her colleagues and didn't seem to care. And when I asked her to apologize, she even used a mean face to say she had done nothing wrong. I would say that if someone who doesn't speak Japanese wants to come here, they really need to think twice before doing so. I didn't try the food because I was too angry, so I can't comment on the food.

Nice secretive place. Dishes w charcoal taste very special if you like it. The tomato shaved ice mix w sukiyaki beef was a special dish. Sake w charcoals tastes. Charcoal cheese. Potato salad all r yummy. No children allowed. 3 Servers seem chatting among themselves alot. May be due to no customer just us
I went there a few years ago and it was so good that I came back.Since I had made a reservation, the guide went smoothly. It was good that the recommendations were explained in detail.Regarding the food, I felt that the volume was less than before, and the smoked eggs in the potato salad seemed to be sweeter. Previously, I had the impression that it had a stronger smoked taste. This is a memory from several years ago, so I may be wrong. The taste was the same as before and delicious.I was a little concerned about the chatter between the person cooking and the person serving the food in the center of the counter.(The voice was loud, so I wanted you to speak at a level that didn't bother you.)It was a bit disappointing since the service was good.

Me and my wife are 1st time visiting the restaurant as there is a youtuber recommending this place. This place is totally hidden. We spent 10 minutes outside to find the building of the restaurant and there is no one single sign outside to help us locate the place. We needed to take off shoes to enter the restaurant. We were the first customers inside the restaurant and the servers placed us randomly in the corner. We didn’t know where to hang our clothes and shoes behind our seats but then we were told to use the designated wall hanger only to settle down with clothes and shoes. The menu is all in Japanese. Despite the use of google translate, we would still like to seek food suggestions from the 3 servers there. One young female server has good English but with no customer service, speaking in blunt tone with no friendly assistance or smiles. During our dinning, the servers were just talking among themselves and not engaging with us as new customers. The whole eating experience was so bad and felt like eating in food court. The atmosphere is isolating and dark. This is the worst ever dining experience I had in Japan despite I generally had great experience everywhere eating in Japan. Not going to recommend to any of my friends despite the good recipes of sukiyaki.
