I used it for the first time with a friend. We enjoyed delicious food and drinks in a relaxed atmosphere. Each table is separated, so you can eat and talk in peace.

I ordered the recommended seafood platter. Unfortunately, most of the sashimi was not fresh... Especially the tuna was purple.. The color in the photo is brighter, but the actual color was worse than half the price at the supermarket.. I also ordered the teppanyaki beef steak. Also, the beef wasn't fresh and was hard to chew... I went there with a friend from America, and she said it was too bad, so I barely ate it... Honestly, I can't give the meal one star. I didn't want to...There was no bell on the table, and I had a hard time calling the waiter. I finished quickly and moved to the Yakiniku restaurant next door.

I'd give it 6 stars if I could. I've been coming back to eat Japanese meat in Japan for 15 years now and I've been to all kinds of places: from local, street food to Michelin starred restaurants. This place has one of the best Chateaubriand (keep in mind this is a cut in Japan, and not a preparation as we call it in Europe) I've had in all of this time. I'll come back. Very kind service, too!

On a weekday afternoon, I became a mid-day lunch refugee, giving up on lunch, and was walking to Kinko's to print some documents when I noticed a sign at the back of DD House that said ``Late lunch 600 yen.'' .
I immediately went to the basement of DD House where the shop was located. Gonnosuke runs a beautiful izakaya with plenty of seats. I was immediately shown around and ordered the "Late Lunch - Dashi Roll and Chicken Tempura Set Meal". Moreover, iced coffee or iced tea is free if served after 1:00 p.m.
What was brought to me was three pieces of hot and crispy chicken tempura on a large plate, three well-made fluffy soup stock rolls, an accompanying salad, and miso soup with lots of toppings. Everything was really delicious.
Moreover, there was a taco-san sausage secretly on the plate. It's probably been about 40 years since I've had Taco Wieners made by someone else. The manga ``Midnight Diner'' comes to mind. (If you look closely, there's a face too!?)
I usually eat company meals or make my own bento boxes, so I was scared by the lunch prices in Umeda and thought, ``Maybe I can just skip the food,'' but this lunch was only 600 yen (it's hard to tell from the photo), and the portions were really generous. It was a delicious, affordable and luxurious lunch.
Next time I'd like to try the regular lunch as well.
